The British-Egyptian activist and revolutionary writer Alaa Abdel Fattah was one of the leading voices of the Egyptian revolution in 2011 and has been imprisoned for most of the time since by Sisi's regime for his pro-democracy activism. He was on a partial hunger strike since March 2022 and went on a water strike at the start of COP27 on November 6.

This short film looks at how Alaa’s sisters' are campaigning to save their brother from London, and why they deemed that COP27 was the most opportune moment to fight for his freedom, as it intersects their fight for human rights and climate justice.
